Barb has owned and operated Lima & Associates, LLC for over 5 years, assisting small and mid-size businesses and their owners with their bookkeeping, accounting and tax needs. In addition to her experiences at Lima & Associates, LLC, Barb has more than 4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience with Deloitte and has spent more than 10 years working in accounting leadership roles for the real estate investment companies of Simon Property Group and AIMCO. In her various roles, including as Accounting Manager and Financial Controller over the accounting for more than 200 properties, her experience includes REIT accounting, SEC and HUD reporting, general ledger conversion and handling acquisitions and dispositions of various properties.

Barb has great expertise in accounting and tax, an organized and detail oriented accountant with the highest degree of integrity and ethics. She has a proven track record of providing great service and value to small and mid-size businesses and their owners. She is passionate about providing accurate and timely information and insights to business owners to effectively reduce costs and improve their earnings.

Barb holds a B.S. in Accounting from Purdue University and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and certified in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.

Barb is a proud wife and mother of two sons and a daughter. In her free time she enjoys volunteering in her community, reading, watching college sports and the NFL and spending time with her family.

During his over 14 years Big 4 Accounting Firm experience, Tim has served in audit, tax and advisory roles with a focus on entrepreneurial and high growth enterprises across a wide variety of industries. During this time, he assisted numerous clients with capital raises, including completion of initial public stock offerings for four of his technology clients. Tim also has over 10 years business leadership experience through senior management positions he’s held with R.W. Armstrong, a global engineering firm, First Advantage Corporation, (NASDAQ: FADV), a pre-employment screening company, CIC Enterprises, a provider of tax credit and fleet compliance services, and Quantum Health Resources, a chronic disease management and home healthcare provider.

Tim is an executive with expertise in financial and operational leadership, an organized leader with the highest degree of integrity and ethics. He has a proven track record of adding significant value to both growing and troubled businesses and is passionate about providing timely and pro-active value added information and insights to business owners to profitably improve their businesses.

Tim holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Tim is a proud husband and father of two sons and a daughter. In his free time he enjoys volunteering in his community, running, cycling, golf, fishing and spending time with his family.

 

Rob MooreRob Moore


Accounting Manager

In a career spanning more than 20 years, Rob has experience in several industries, including distribution & logistics, specialty retail, light manufacturing and media. Serving in various roles, he has worked for some of the most respected companies in those industries, including The Limited (Express), Victoria’s Secret, Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts, HSN, Creative Mobile Interiors and American City Business Journals.

Having worked as a controller for several companies, Rob has successfully assisted business owners organize and streamline all aspects of their accounting functions and controls, as well as identifying key performance indicators and providing the necessary timely reporting to monitor these businesses. In addition to the accounting functions, he has experience with inventory management, purchasing and human resources compliance.

Rob holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He has experience with a wide array of accounting systems, including Quickbooks Online, Epicor, Peachtree and MAS90. Rob is also a Florida Notary Public.

Rob is proudly married to Christine. Together, they have one son and one daughter. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering in his community, reading, boating, watching college football and spending time with friends and family.

 

Phillip PattersonPhillip Patterson


Accounting Manager

During his 25 years in accounting and finance for both small private companies and large public companies, Phillip has developed experience in accounting and financial analysis of companies in all phases of their life cycle from start-up growth-based businesses to operating profitable business and the final stages of planning to be sold or purchased. Phillip has over 12 years leadership experience through his management roles in international and domestic accounting and finance in his time at Tech Data, MetLife and Home Shopping Network.

Having worked as the CFO/Controller for several small to mid-size companies for more than 12 years, Phillip developed intimate business operations knowledge in the distribution, remote learning, software, consulting and real estate industries. He is an experienced executive having a history of identifying and developing the analysis necessary for streamlined operations allowing companies to reach their financial potential.

Phillip holds a BBA in Accounting from University of North Florida and a Masters in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He has experience with a wide array of accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online, MAS500, Intacct, D365, Great Plains, NetSuite and many others.

Phillip is a proud husband and father of two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering in the community, golf, trips to the beach and spending time with his family.

 

Michael O'SheaMichael O'Shea


Accounting Manager

Mike has diverse accounting and finance experience in such industries as telecom, retail, hospitality, and not-for profits including time as both CFO and controller at various entities. During his time with Verizon and Home Shopping Network, he worked in both the domestic and international units in consolidations, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions. In over 25 years of experience, Mike has helped small and medium sized companies build financial reporting and analytic tools to help business leaders drive profitable performance.

Originally from New Jersey, Mike holds a B.S. in Accounting and Economics from Rutgers University. Mike and his wife Cecilia are proud parents to four daughters. In his spare time, Mike enjoys wrenching on his Jeep, home improvement projects, reading, golf, and spending time with his family and his dogs.

 

Jessica A. HalsteadJessica A. Halstead


Accountant

Jessica brings over 16 years accounting experience to Lima & Associates. Originally from Upstate New York, Jessica resided in Charlotte, NC for thirteen years before moving to Florida in 2018. She has worked in different industries such as legal, publishing, media and veterinary clinics.

Jessica has accounting experience in several different areas including account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, treasury, intercompany transactions/reconciliations, business personal property tax filing in 23 states, financial statements, fixed asset schedules, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, assisted in several software conversions as well as having the role of lead project manager on software implementations to automate account payable/expense reports and centralize remote banking for 317 locations/bank accounts.

Jessica is proudly married and enjoys running, hiking, spending time on the beach with her dogs, attending sporting events and spending time with friends.

 

Sara Jollie HarrisonSara Jollie Harrison


Accountant

Sara brings over 5 years accounting experience to Lima & Associates. A long-time New York area resident, Sara resided in New York until 2019 then spent a year in Atlanta before moving to Florida in 2020.

While earning her B.S in Accounting at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in New York, Sara interned at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York working in their accounting department conducting internal audits. Sara is experienced in preparing individual, partnership, corporation, trust and tax-exempt entity returns, account reconciliations, financial statements, record keeping for capital and operating leases, fixed asset schedules, all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and has assisted in software conversions. Sara also has experience with numerous accounting software applications including; Orion, Fulcrum (SAP), BNA Tax Planner, ProSystem FX, Lacerte, CS Professional Suite, Box, Onvio, NetStaff, Excel and MS 365 Cloud and has earned her QuickBooks Online Certification.

Sara is a proud wife and mother of two daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, working out, traveling and watching NFL games with her husband.


Bonnie BoyerBonnie I. Boyer


Office Manager

Bonnie brings 20 years of Office Management experience to Lima & Associates. A native Texan, Bonnie resided in Titus County Texas before moving to Florida in 2010. She was the Office Manager for two accounting firms in the Texas area for over 15 years. She was responsible for daily management of the office, building strong client relations, marketing, performing and maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and electronic billing. Prior to managing accounting firms, Bonnie owned and operated a holistic pet treat business and a cleaning company in the Florida area.

Bonnie enjoys the beach, travel, gardening, and spending time with her grandson.
